ECT: Please Watch Before Undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy

  1. Breaks my heart watching this. I relate to her words. Life was crudely interrupted by ECT. Never the same since cognitively, precious memories erased and grief including absolute fear (ptsd?) of any medical treatments and visits to doctor and hospital (avoidance and would need to be on "death bed"). Locked up with a mattress on floor was part of the hospital "treatment" as was the threat if I were to not consent to ECT I would be placed under the act.
The traumas including ECT and related consequences are never ending and I feel punished for having experienced human emotions at a time I was very vulnerable and wanted "to get better".
