Please I need an answer and have had trouble finding any supportive documents with this: I have vertigo, mild deafness and tinnitus only in the *Right ear, balance issues, (and the known head injury effects of ECT including memory loss, cognitive challenges and blunted emotions). Interesting I also have stuttering. I had 15x *Right unilateral (two in one session and to top it all off another patients ECT file was mistakenly in mine; perhaps errors occurred with ECT "treatments"-I do not know. I digress. Are the vertigo etc symptoms a part of the head injury effects from ECT. As in delayed post traumatic vertigo etc. Does ECT cause bleeding in the brain around the acoustic, vestibular (very close to temple as in Right unilateral ECT placement) and perhaps there is long term growth in scarring and now it is causing disability. Doctors will not be helpful with my questions only referral to hospital. I am very worried.

It seems to much of a co incidence yet proving it would be hard given the pro ECT medical systems. I am very upset about ECT and the fact many of us are forced into it: no informed consent and are threatened directly or indirectly (while in a traumatic state of mind as in my own case).
and thankyou for your blog. I am very sorry to know there are too many of us that have permanent damages/impairments from this "treatment". ACC are not helpful; I tried approx three years after ECT and was denied as "no proof" to damages. Yet imagine if they owned up and took notice of anti-ECT Proofs that there are significant and life changing physical damages done by ECT-the (corrupt) government(s) would be up for many many dollars and ECT would be questioned and I would trust Banned in our hospitals. It is not money yet Validation that is the priority. No amount of money can bring back memories, fuller cognitive functions (and possibly reverse hearing loss, the vertigo etc if indeed this is ECT related). Very fustrating as there are very few medical professionals standing up against ECT and I do not know of any in NZ. Life changing and life interrupting and potential reverse effect (some pro ECT "it saves lives" bullcrap; it may create more suicides, have had recent moments due to damages/impairments).
